Debra Lucas Henderson, 56, of Staunton, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at her home.
She was born on January 21, 1958, in Waynesboro, a daughter of the late William David Henderson and Sylvia Davis Henderson.
Debra was a member of Mountain View Mennonite Church and was last employed at the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jeffrey Henderson on July 14, 1983.
She is survived by two brothers, Robert Henderson and Clay Henderson, both of Stuarts Draft; four sisters, Mary Riddle and her husband, Dale, and Chris Hudson and her husband, Ronnie, both of Stuarts Draft, and Lisa Watson and her husband, Barry, a and Marie Stevens and her husband, Wayne, both of Waynesboro; her companion, David McDaniel; two special nieces, Kristy Wheeler and Barbara Dawson; a special nephew, Corey Henderson; and numerous cousins.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2014, in the Chapel of the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Dr. (formerly 961 Goose Creek Road), Fishersville. Active pallbearers will be Robert Henderson, Clay Henderson, Barry Watson, Wayne Stevens, Ronnie Hudson, and Nick Davis.
The family will receive friends at 1335 Howardsville Turnpike, Stuarts Draft.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Waynesboro First Aid Crew, 201 West Broad Street, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
